It is meant to complement Boutros Text, which was designed for body text setting. BoutrosNewsH1 simplifies the calligraphic strokes of Naskh and widens the counters to allow more white space within and between characters. It comes in three weights: regular, bold and extra bold. -

«أبعاد أسماء االله الحسنى»... الخطّ العربي يُجمِّل الروح ويُهندس الواقع
4 أيلول (سبتمبر) 2024, بقلم الشرق الأوسطيقدّم الفنان اللبناني البريطاني مراد بطرس، مجموعته الفنية «نقوش مقدّسة: أبعاد أسماء االله الحسنى»، التي توصف بالاستثنائية لتجاوزها حدود الخطّ التقليدي والتصميم الهندسي، وانفتاحها على الما وراء، مُحدثةً حواراً عميقاً بين المادي والروحي. ومراد بطرس خطّاط ومصمّم غرافيك، توجّه نحو الفنّ التجاري ليبدأ مسيرة مهنية في الخطّ العربي وتصميم الغرافيك. كُرِّم للمرّة الأولى عام ١٩٧٤، عندما فاز بالجائزة الأولى لأفضل إعلان إبداعي في لبنان ضمن مسابقة نظمتها صحيفة «لوريان لوجور» الناطقة باللغة الفرنسية. The brief was to create a harmonious Arabic range in line with the characteristics of the existing Latin family (for MINI Cooper). For the headline range, which comes in four weights, we made sure that the typeface design work very well with its equivalent Latin in style and weight, while prioritizing legibility.
