Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital, is set to host an art exhibition for artist and calligrapher Mourad Boutros between 10 and 14 September 2014 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre [ADNEC], as part of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting & Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2014.
The exhibition is being organised under the auspices of the Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival, to be held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and at the invitation of HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan reinforces his commitment to preserve the horse racing heritage, legacy and value besides adding a cultural dimension to the festival.

The art exhibition is unique as the international artists have developed artworks and paintings specifically for the festival, which re-emphasise its global appeal as well as mirroring international trends.
Most of Boutros’s artworks at the exhibition have been developed in cooperation with leading artists, including the renowned Emmanuel Guiragossian, Robin Hazlewood, Arlette Haddad, Krikor Agopian, Metin Salih Nadim Matta and Anthony Dawton. In these exclusive pieces, Boutros has come up with exquisite Arabic calligraphy which blends perfectly with the visual background developed by the painter. The calligraphy, being the main focus of the painting, brings out the beauty of the artworks.
The artworks presented by Boutros this year focus on a wide array of themes, including horses, maxims and Al Mahaba. The works showcase the beauty and flexibility of Arabic calligraphy with the artworks of famous painters.
