Art in Action took place from 21-24 July, welcoming 28,148 visitors, the second largest number since it started in 1977.

The event showcased the work of 150 artists who demonstrated their skills and love of art in a wide variety of disciplines. Visitors also enjoyed lectures; live music and performing arts; browsed work by over 100 designer makers in the Crafts Market and took part in practical classes.

Each year demonstrators enter what they consider their best work for exhibition in the Best of the Best marquee. Then every artist gets a vote to decide on a winner. This year it was glass artist Liam Reeves, with a wall mounted glass plate entitled Scope IV.
